It is built on an area of ​​85 acres with a total capacity of 1500 megawatts, connected to the national grid of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and includes two phases "West Damietta 1", which includes 4 gas units, the capacity of the unit is 25 megawatts, a steam unit has been added to it to maximize the use of the amount of energy generated from The gas units, where the cost of the phase is 315 million dollars, and it entered service in June 2014. The second phase, “West Damietta 2”, is equipped with 4 gas units and 1 steam turbine, at a cost of 233 million dollars, and it entered service in December 2015. Combined units were added to the two phases, operating with air-cooling technology, to generate additional electric power without using fuel, and in accordance with specific environmental requirements. And the scope of work of PetroMisr Company was to provide qualified and trained workers to carry out the required welding and filing works according to the time and according to the principles of the industry.
